Used Nissan QX

The Nissan QX is one of the basic luxury saloons produced by the Japanese manufacturer. It is actually the second generation of the Maxima model produced in 1989. With this model, a good choice of engines is given: a 3-liter V6 combined with a 4-speed automatic transmission system or a 2-liter V6 combined with a manual or automatic transmission system. The 3-liter version would eventually prove to be the better engine; however, adding £3,000 premium for the upgrade just seemed a little bit too much for the pocket. The 2-liter engine version pushes out 138bhp, a satisfactory performance from the little engine. Although more adequate than impressive, it does the job of giving a smooth and pleasurable ride without the noise and backseat pinning of the more powerful version. With the 2-liter engine, virtually no noise is made by the car, save for a few cranking sounds when shifting gear. The QX is actually a very practical, reliable, and versatile machine. It can give the same comfort and luxury a BMW can give, without the glitter. It can give the same performance of a Mercedes Benz, without the glamour. The car needs to be serviced after every 9,000 miles to maintain its good running condition and smooth operation. The interior of the QX is, sadly, disappointing. With nothing special covering the seats, the dashboard, and the steering wheel, driving the QX may never be a memorable experience, much less a dream come true. However, all the basic necessities are present in the controls of this car, such as air conditioning, electronic enhancements, customization, and paneling options. Coming in three versions, the S, SE, and SEL, there is a wide array of technological and electronic options to choose from. The most basic, the S model, already includes an electric sunroof, keyless entry and locking, power windows, and antilock braking systems. The only thing that the SE has over the S model is the fact that in the former, there is the option of having a climate-control air conditioning system. Going further up the QX hierarchy, the SEL is available with an all leather upholstery, CD and DVD player, and more electronic enhancements. The used Nissan QX can accommodate 5 passengers with a lot of head and legroom. The seats are well balanced and comfortable. It also has a really spacious trunk, which should take care of all the luggage a small family can bring. Just skip the refrigerator and everything should fit just nicely. It is very reliable in all aspects, especially when roughing it out in the open road with no fancy electronic enhancements to worry about.
